Mountains of Moria

The three peaks above old Khazad-dûm

Map of the Mountains of Moria

The three mountains, Celebdil, Caradhras and Fanuidhol, beneath which Khazad-dûm was delved by the Dwarves. The main body of their city, which was later called Moria, seems to have been beneath Celebdil, which they called Zirakzigil, and which was crowned by Durin's Tower.
