Durin’s Folk

The clan of the Longbeards

The clan of Dwarves descended from Durin the Deathless, eldest of the seven Fathers of the Dwarves. Almost all of the Dwarves that appear in Tolkien's works are of this Folk.

Notes

1

The return of Durin's Folk to Khazad-dûm is not established beyond doubt, but some sources (specifically, volume XII of The History of Middle-earth) suggest that they were led back to their ancient home by King Durin VII, a descendant of Dáin Ironfoot.
