An archaic name of the month in the calendars of the Shire and Bree known at the end of the Third Age as 'Thrimidge'. This was the fifth month of the year, corresponding to the Quenya Lótessë, or approximately to modern May. The name comes from the Old English for 'three milkings', because the lush grass that grew in this part of the year meant that cows eating it would need more than the usual two milkings a day.
