The youngest child, and only daughter, of King Tar-Amandil of Númenor. As the great-granddaughter of Elros Tar-Minyatur, the founding King of Númenor, her blood was of the highest nobility, and her eldest brother went on to become King in his own right, as Tar-Elendil. If Mairen left any descendants of historical note, however, they are not recorded, and her branch of Elros' line appears to have ended with Mairen herself.
