The shape of the Kingdom of
Arda before the end of the
First Age (somewhat conjectural)
The world, considered as the realm of its High King Manwë, the highest of the Valar. The equivalent term 'Kingdom of Manwë' is also sometimes used to describe the world as the domain of the chief of the Powers. Though Manwë was said to rule the entirety of Arda from his halls on Taniquetil beyond the Sea, he rarely intervened in events in Middle-earth, though he was brought news of happenings there by myriad spirits in the forms of Eagles and hawks.
