One of the three children of Tar-Elendil, born in Númenor in the sixth century of the Second Age. Her elder sister was Silmariën, ancestor of the Lords of Andúnië and the Kings of Gondor and Arnor. Her brother was the youngest of the three children, but following the laws of Númenor at that time he succeeded to the throne as Tar-Meneldur, and was followed by generations of Kings of Númenor.
Isilmë herself, however, did not found any famous royal lines, or make any significant impact on history. Indeed there is little record of her life at all, apart from her birthdate (II 532) on a genealogical chart.
Notes
1 |
We don't know exactly how long Isilmë lived, but in her generation members of the royal line tended to have lifespans about four centuries. So, she probably survived until about the year II 930, well into the reign of her nephew Tar-Aldarion.

2 |
The -më element in this context is simply a feminine name-ending, so Isilmë in full could be taken as something like 'Moon woman'.
