Probably the majority of the e-mail we receive is from visitors asking for more information
on individual topics. We used to try to answer these queries as far as possible, but eventually
we reached a point where we were spending far more time answering e-mail than actually developing the site. This isn't just impractical, it's unfair to other visitors, so we've recently decided
not to answer specific queries like this. You're still welcome to send questions,
but instead of answering them directly, we'll log them and answer the most popular within this FAQ.
If you need a more rapid answer to a question, then quickest way to find an answer is
to visit one of the many Tolkien forums - you can check their FAQs or archives, and post your question if you aren't able to find an answer.
