Name given to Elendil, his sons and his followers, after they escaped to Middle-earth from the destruction of Númenor.
Notes
1 |
Meneldil of Gondor seems to have been the longest survivor of those who escaped the Downfall of Númenor, having been a very young Man at that time. He lived until the year III 158 (hence the date shown above) though it's impossible to rule out the possibility that some other unknown companion of Elendil might have survived even longer. |
2 |
The Exiles built many other settlements and fortifications throughout Middle-earth, but Annúminas and Osgiliath represented the centres of their power in the North- and South-kingdoms, respectively. |
