One of the many names for the immensely tall mountain better known as Taniquetil, the highest of all the world's peaks. It stood among the Pelóri, the guardian range of Aman. The name Elerrína (meaning 'Crowned with Stars') was perhaps simply inspired by the height of its summit. It might also refer by association to Varda, the Kindler of the stars, who dwelt on Elerrína's peak with Manwë the Elder King.
