The date of Atanatar's birth appears only in The History of Middle-earth volume XII, The Peoples of Middle-earth . It cannot therefore be considered completely reliable.

This is surely a reference to the Atanatári , the Fathers of Men of the First Age better known as the Edain , from whom the line of the Kings of Gondor was directly descended.
