A title given to the Vala Yavanna, accounted second only to Varda among the Valier, or Queens of the Valar. Yavanna's special province was the life of all the growing things of the world, and thus she gained her titles the Giver of Fruits and the Queen of the Earth (this last from Elvish Kementári). Yavanna was most often seen as a tall green-clad woman, but she was also seen in other forms, including a tree that brought life to barren land through its golden dew.
