The only definite date we have for Orophin is 15 JanuaryIII 3019, the day on which he and his brothers met the Company of the Ring. He had presumably dwelt in Lórien for some considerable time before this - perhaps even thousands of years - though we have no record of him before the time of the War of the Ring.
