The prominent easternmost peak of the White Mountains, beneath which the citadel of Minas Tirith stood.


Notes

In the early history of Gondor, a hallow or holy place was set aside on the mountain, to which only the King was permitted to go. By the time of the War of the Ring, this hallow had been forgotten by the Men of Gondor, but after the War Gandalf guided Aragorn to it, where he discovered a sapling of the White Tree.
