An uncommon name for the Haladin, the branch of the Edain more usually called the Folk of Haleth or the People of Haleth. These were Men descended from the Second House of the Edain, who had originally settled in the southern parts of Thargelion. After a vicious attack by the Orcs, Haleth daughter of Haldad led the survivors westwards through Beleriand, until they eventually settled in the Forest of Brethil. There they remained, under the leadership of Haldad's descendants, for many generations.
