A member of the Grubb family who married into the Bagginses when she wed Mungo Baggins. Together they had five children, three sons (Bungo, Longo and Bingo) and two daughters (Belba and Linda). Through Bungo, she was a grandmother of Bilbo Baggins, and through Longo she was also a grandmother of Otho Sackville-Baggins. It was this family connection that made Otho Bilbo's legal heir until his official adoption of Frodo.
After the death of her husband in III 2900 (or 1300 by the Shire-reckoning), she succeeded him to become the head of the Baggins family, a position she held for the following sixteen years until her own death in III 2916 (S.R. 1316) at the age of one hundred and two.
