I 498 Túrin weds Níniel in Brethil.
III 2941 Bilbo Baggins and the Dwarves set out from Rivendell on their journey to the Lonely Mountain.
III 3013 A Free Fair is held on the White Downs, at which Will Whitfoot is elected (or re-elected) to the post of Mayor.
III 3018 Gandalf encounters Radagast near Bree, and is given Saruman's message.
III 3019 The marriage of Aragorn and Arwen takes place in Minas Tirith.
III 3020 Frodo Baggins gives up the post of Mayor of the Shire, and Will Whitfoot is restored.
IV 6 Will Whitfoot resigns as Mayor of Michel Delving, and Sam Gamgee is elected in his place.
IV 55 At the Free Fair on the White Downs, Samwise Gamgee resigns as Mayor of the Shire.
IV 61 Death of Rose, the wife of Samwise Gamgee.

In Appendix D of The Lord of the Rings, Tolkien says, '...March 25, the date of the downfall of the Barad-dûr, would correspond to our March 27, if our years began at the same seasonal point.' In fact our years do not begin at the same point, but this 'Adjusted' date represents the date as it would be on the Shire Calendar if they did.
