The Green Mound outside the western gates of Valmar, the city of the Valar. Also called Ezellohar, the name Corollairë is a contraction of the full form Coron Oiolairë, the 'mound of endless summer'. The name arose because it was here that the Two Trees of Valinor grew: brought into being through the songs of Yavanna and the tears of Nienna, they shed silver and golden light across the land of Valinor for long ages before they were darkened by Melkor and Ungoliant.
