An original title of Varda, meaning 'the Kindler', and deriving from her making of the first faint stars in ancient times. When, long afterwards, she used the dews of Telperion to kindle brighter stars still, this surname seems to have fallen out of favour. After that time she was called instead Elentári, the Queen of the Stars.
