Taniquelassë

A tree of Nísimaldar

One of various kinds of evergreen trees brought to Númenor by the Elves of Eressëa. Those trees were planted around the harbour of Eldalondë on the Bay of Eldanna, and were so famous for their fragrant leaves and flowers that they gave their name to the entire region: Nísimaldar, the Fragrant Trees. We have very little specific information about taniquelassë itself, except what can be gleaned from its name, which seems to mean 'high white leaf'.
