AsphodelPale flowers of the woodlandPlants that grow a tall spike of flowers, which may be yellow or white in colour. They were seen by Frodo and Sam as they travelled through Ithilien, the land that was known as the garden of Gondor. They clearly grew more widely than that: Master Gorbadoc of Buckland named his second daughter 'Asphodel', showing that these flowers were known as far north as Buckland and the Shire.
