The brighteststar in the constellation of Libra is a hot, rapidly-rotating body. Though only third magnitude, there is some historical evidence that it was once much brighter than it is today (though, if so, the reason for the star's considerable dimming remains mysterious).
The companion star of Zubeneschamali isn't directly observable from Earth, but its
presence can be inferred from periodic variations in the magnitude of the primary star.
