Wasat is a ternary system, with the main orangesubgiantstar having a smaller companion in a close orbit, with a third more distant star circling these two. Wasat lies extremely close to the line of the Ecliptic, meaning that the Sun, Moon and planets of the Solar System regularly pass close to this star in the sky.
