Directly northward of Theta Ceti, separated from it by just ten arcminutes in the sky, is the pulsating variable 44 Ceti (or AV Ceti). The two stars are widely separated in space, with 44 Ceti lying almost twice as far from the Sun as Theta Ceti. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
