NotesThough prominently placed in the 'head' of Aquila the Eagle, and designated 'Beta' Aquilae, Alshain is not the second brightest star in its constellation, and in fact there are six stars in Aquila with brighter magnitudes. The primary star of this system, Alshain A, is a yellow subgiant star, while Alshain B is a distant and faint red dwarf companion orbiting at a distance of some 175 AU.
