Blue subgiant in Vulpecula

1 Vulpeculae falls extremely close to the border between Vulpecula and its neighbouring constellation, Sagitta, to the south. That border runs from east to west across this image, and the bright star seen here to the south and west of 1 Vulpeculae in fact lies across that border. This is 1 Sagittae, a white main sequence star that lies considerably closer to the Sun than the subgiant 1 Vulpeculae. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas
