The numbering of extrasolar planets discovered by the SWEEPS project does not follow the usual pattern of adding 'b', 'c', (and so on) to the parent star's identity. Though this planet is sometimes listed as 'SWEEPS-11 b', in fact its formal designation is simply 'SWEEPS-11', and the distant star that it orbits is catalogued as SWEEPS J175902.67-291153.5.
