The stars of the cluster Collinder 367 shine out through the gases of the emission nebula IC 4685 in western Sagittarius. The dark shape stencilled out of the scene is Barnard 302, a shadowy strand of material lying between Earth and Collinder 367, and so partially obscuring the cluster and the bright nebula beyond.).
