Notes	This belt of dark cloud runs along southern edge of Jupiter's Equatorial Zone, with the Great Red Spot embedded in the belt's southern edge. This is not a permanent feature of Jupiter's atmosphere, and at times the belt can vanish for periods of several months before reappearing.
