One of a line of three prominent craters, collectively known as the Ptolemaeus trium, running southwards in the southwestern quadrant of the Moon's visible face. Arzachel is the southernmost and smallest of the three craters, but it is also the deepest, with terraced crater walls and a distinct central peak.
