NotesNGC 2258 is a galaxy rather larger than the Milky Way. It is lenticular in form, possessing a galactic disc and an active nucleus, but lacking distinct spiral arms. NGC 2258 is part of a group of about a hundred galaxies scattered across Camelopardalis in a region some two hundred million light years from the Milky Way Galaxy.
