Of the three stars that make up the Kids, each has its own distinctive colour. The northern star Almaaz is a whitish-yellow F-type supergiant, much more distant than the other two stars. Saclateni or Hoedus I, the southwestern star, is orange in colour, while Haedus or Hoedus II in the southeast has a pale blue colouration. Imagery provided by Aladin sky atlas

A group of three stars in the western regions of Auriga, composed of Almaaz, Saclateni and Haedus. These three stars represent the three kids of Capella, whose name translates as 'little she-goat'.
