An irregularly-shaped asteroid more than one hundred kilometres in diameter, Circe rotates on its axis in a little over twelve hours. It is notable for its extremely low albedo; at just 0.02, this albedo value suggests that the asteroid has an unusually dark and non-reflective surface.
