NotesThis blue subgiant star is a pulsating variable of the Beta Cephei class. Algenib in Pegasus is not to be confused with Alpha Persei, an unrelated star in Perseus that is usually called Mirfak, but is also sometimes given the common name of Algenib.
Location of Algenib

Algenib lies in the southeastern corner of the well-known Square of Pegasus, close against the borders of Pisces.

This pulsating blue star is close to Pegasus' border with Pisces. Algenib forms one of the four corner-stars of the Square of Pegasus.
