NotesThe primary star of this system is an evolved yellow giant with a diameter some seventeen times that of the Sun and a variable magnitude. This giant star has a binary companion, a dwarf star with a mass close to that of the Sun, detectable only by its gravitational effect on the giant primary.

Kornephoros is a variable yellow giant in the constellation of Hercules, near its border with Serpens. It is a binary system: the main giant has a much fainter companion in orbit around it.
