NotesThe largest and most prominent crater in its region of the Moon's western hemisphere, this deep circular feature, nearly a hundred kilometres across, lies among the highlands that separate the Ocean of Storms from the Sea of Rains.

A huge, deep lunar crater nearly one hundred kilometres in diameter. In the centre of its otherwise flat floor lie a group of scattered hills rising to more than 1,000m in height, but these are still less than a third as high as the vast crater wall that surrounds them.
